-6.6 Guard your heart

One of the greatest challenges of being a client service director or client Advocate is to guard your heart against jealousy, anger, judgmentalism, envy, and hatred.

Because you are working under the direction of an executive director that is above you, that is paid more than you and that gets more attention than you.

It is easy, if you’re not led by the Spirit of God, to fall into one or more of these wrong feelings.

Listen to this video teaching about guarding your heart:

Proverb 4:23 says: “Above All Else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it determines the course of your life.”

So keep your heart with all diligence. Watch over your heart for it is the source of life.

Matthew 12:34 says: “you brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

Matthew 15:18-19 says: “But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft false testimony, and slander.”

Do you see how easy it is to be tempted to say things that could lead to division, broken relationships or the cause of your removal from your position?

Acts 8:22 (NIV) says: “Repent therefore of this your wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.”

2nd Corinthians 10:5 says: “casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to The Obedience of Christ.”

Remember the weapons of our Warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

We tear down arguments and every thought set up against the knowledge of God and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

So, guard your heart to be a great client advocate.
