EVERYTHING YOU DO IN THE CHURCH WILL BE FOR THE BENEFIT AND GROWTH OF THE LOCAL CENTERr

Your Role: Your role will require your commitment to the idea of supporting, expanding, and equipping the local pregnancy center. You can bring support and involvement to the local center by doing these types of things:

Your Main Responsibilities as a Church Liaison or Church Advocate

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Be a service evangelist

– Help those in your church to learn about the services found at the local pregnancy center. You should able to listen, educate, communicate, and provide sources of physical, emotional, and spiritual hope to women and their families in your church, especially those considering abortion.

2. Be a volunteer recruiter

– Your church is full of women and men who have the time on their hands and a heart wanting to help that should be coached into joining the pregnancy center as a volunteer. Your role is to recruit volunteers systematically and regularly.

3. Be a Post-Abortion Support evangelist

The after-abortion support programs will vary center to center. The first step is to learn from the center when support is offered and what will be covered. Next, educate your church to learn about recovery support and how it can benefit the church family. Your role would be to assist or lead the small group meetings, caring for the deep hurts expressed by women in recovery.

4. Become an advocate representative to the Pastor’s Wife

To be a church liaison or advocate, you want to be sure to establish a relationship with the pastor’s wife, so that you can inform her of the center’s events and need for volunteers, support and how they can serve the church’s hurting members.

5. Be a fundraiser representative

Your role will be to educate, invite and publicize the pregnancy center annual banquet and other fundraising events. As you lead by example, plan on attending and supporting the center yourself, and then draw others to follow your lead. Recruit the pastor’s wife to bring her husband to the events. Talk to your church members interested in the pregnancy center about personally supporting the center. Imagine if a church of 200 families had even 30 people interested in the center. That would mean possibly 30 new monthly supporters. If the church pastor attends, He may recommend the church support the center. In other words, always represent the center’s need for support.

6. Become an Intercessory prayer representative for the Center

Help your church members engage in true, intercessory prayer for the unborn, the hurting men and women and the pregnant young mother’s hearts to be turned to the child vs abortion.

Assuming and embracing your responsibility will help make you a more effective more confident volunteer church liaison or church advocate.

Other things you can do
