Don’t Neglect Prayer
DON'T NEGLECT PRAYER!
PRAY FOR RESULTS
When faced with the responsibility of being an effective volunteer church liaison or advocate, one of the most critical areas you must be aware of is the power of Prayer.
Prayer changes everything. When a decision is to be made ask for God’s wisdom. When a new person from your church is to be served, first pray. When there seems to be a wall between you and her or when there seems to be an impasse, for example, in changing her mind about abortion, pray. Pray before answering a phone call to your telephone. Pray as a member of the church approaches you. Pray as she asks you a question.
WHAT ARE YOU TO PRAY FOR WHEN YOU PRAY?
We are to pray for his will to be done in everything.
We are to pray for the coming Kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven.
We are to pray for our daily necessities.
We are to pray for the leading of the Lord and Deliver Us from Evil.
We are to pray to loose the Holy Spirit to draw him or her to repentance.
PRAY GOD’S WORD IN MATTHEW 7:8 and MARK 11:22-24
As you pray we are told in Matthew 7:8 tells us that for every one that asketh receiveth and he that seeketh findeth into him that knock if it will be opened and thus we are told that when we pray we are to pray believing and not doubting and that if we will that any think we should ask shall be done of God.
Of course, we know that this is echoed throughout the Bible that he tells us in Mark 11:22-24 that if we say to the mountain to be removed and believe it in our heart and not doubt, the mountain will be removed and it also says in verse 24 that whatsoever we desire and believe and not doubt, that the Lord will provide it period
Prayer is very important and the key to prayer is to pray according to God’s word it is written therefore we declare and decree and remember to always believe it in your heart and not doubt.
As a volunteer, this is something to always be mindful of. Encourage other staff members to join you in praying about the clients you are serving.
Prayer changes everything. Prayer adds God’s wisdom to your decisions. Prayer will make you a better volunteer church liaison advocate.
